The Union for Reform Judaism, already boasting an extensive web site at www.urj.org, has added a new blog (Web Log). According to a spokeperson:
This week the Union launched a new blog — RJ.org: News and Views of Reform Jews that will, we hope, become a free marketplace of ideas about Judaism and the role it plays in our lives. The blog is a platform for Reform Jews and those who care about Judaism to come together to kibbitz and learn in an online community.
I haven’t had time to take more than a quick look, but the blog will apparently apparently accept submissions from readers as well as comments on published material. It also seems to be an easy way to gain access to information published on the many other sites maintained by the Union and its many affiliates. This should be a welcome addition to the Jewish blogging community.
