Shabbat Shalom - April 12, 2008 - Bible & Bagels

This evening’s Erev Shabbat Family Service,  conducted by Rabbi Dreyfus, will commence at 7:30 pm.  Nancy Friedman and members of the Youth Choir will provide music for the service.Rabbi Dreyfus will conduct a Tot Shabbat service beginning at 9:00 am tomorrow morning.  Bring your little ones for a 30 minutes of prayer, song and story. Our regular Shabbat Morning service, conducted by Rabbi Dreyfus, will begin at 10:00 am.  Niki Cummings will be the Chazanit. The parsha is M’tzora, Leviticus 14:1?15:33, and begins with the purification and sacrifices with respect to someone whose skin diseases have been mostly cured.  Then there is a section on how to  cure a house that seems to have health problems — this sounds like a solution to a very modern problem — and last cures and purifications of other skin and bodily issue diseases.The Haftarah is Kings II, 7:3 - 20.A Bible & Bagels lunch and study session will begin immediately after services and the Kiddush.
