Rabbi Dreyfus returns from Minsk and Jerusalem to conduct Erev Shabbat Services beginning at 8:00 pm. She will be joined, for the evening by musician and speaker Stuart Rosenberg, who will be coming all the from “the North Side”.
Shabbat Morning services, conducted by Rabbi Dreyfus, will begin at 10:00 am. Barry Bayer will be the Cantorial Soloist. Immediately after services and Kiddush, we will enjoy a light luncheon of cheeses, fruits, bagels, cookies and so forth, coupled with a discussion of the Torah readings of the day.
The Parsha is T’rumah, Exodus 25:1?27:19. G-d tells Moses to ask the Israelites to bring a free will offering to help build and decorate the tabernacle, which is now under construction. The very elaborate ark, tables, lamps, beams, partitions and their decorations are described in great detail.
The Haftarah, is I Kings 5:26?6:13
