Adult Education Kick-off with a Health Care Shabbat - November 2

As a lead-up to the presidential election in November 2008 our Adult Education Committee is organizing a series of programs dealing with critical issues for us as Jews and us as Americans. Since the Religious Action Center for Reform Judaism has called for November 2-4 to be a kick-off for a national Campaign for Better Health Care, our first in a series of important pubic issues adult education programs will be a Health Care Shabbat on Friday November 2nd. Dr. John Schumann, an associate of Dr. Quentin Young and both the Physicians for a National Health Program and Physicians for Human Rights, will be presenting after services “How we can deliver better heath care in America.”

This is a topic of great concern for all of us. Please put it on your calendar and invite your friends as well. Please note, to make sure that we also keep in proper emotional health; the Adult Education committee is also planning a music and dance program for later in the year.
