This evening’s Erev Shabbat Services, conducted by all of the Rabbis in the community, will take place at Congregation Am Echad as part of the community’s Scholar in Residence Program. Services will begin at 6:30pm, dinner at 7:00 pm and our speaker thereafter. It is probably, but maybe not, too late to sign up for dinner, but you can always come to services and the after dinner address.

Our scholar will be Rabbi Daniel Goldfarb, a rabbi and attorney currently serving the Conservative Yeshiva in Jerusalem. Rabbi Goldfarb will discuss “The Internet and its Dangers in Jewish Law.”

THERE WILL NOT BE SERVICES AT OUT HOMEWOOD BUILDING THIS EVENING OR TOMORROW MORNING. OUR SERVICES WILL BE AT CONGREGATION AM ECHAD.

Tomorrow’s Shabbats morning services at Congregation Am Echad will begin at 9:30 am. Lunch will be served at 11:30 am, with our speaker thereafter. Rabbi Goldfarb’s topic will be “Adon Olam: A Little Night Music.”

The Parsha for this week is Lech L’cha , Genesis 12:1?17:27, as we begin the saga of Abraham and Sarah, as they follow G-d’s instructions to go to a new land. The Haftarah is Isaiah 40:27–41:16
