Ingredients
4 Ounces Margarine
4 Ounces Cream Cheese
1 Cup Flour
8 Apples (depending on size)
brown sugar
cinnamon
raisins (optional)
Yolk of One Egg
Cooking Instructions
Cream Margarine and Cream Cheese together
Add flour, a little at a time, and form ball.
Note: Key here is getting consistency so that it can be rolled out without sticking to the table, but without being too stiff that it cracks into pieces.)
Flour the table
Separate ball into two and roll each half with rolling pin to form two crusts
Grease Pie Tin and dust with flour
Gently place one crust into pie tin, position it in tin and unfold to cover tin
Peel and core apples
Place apples into pie in two layers
On each layer, sprinkle brown sugar, cinnamon and raisins (if desired)
Place second crust on top, pinch together with bottom crust
Brush top with egg yolk, make a few slashes in top crust.
Bake 425 degrees for 15 minutes, then 350 degrees for 30 minutes
