On the Shabbat during Sukkot we will have a special service at 6:15 pm on Friday, September 28. This will be a “Healing of Spirit” service, open to all, and directed to those who feel in need of healing of spirit or body. There will be music, meditation and poetry. We will begin with “Likrat Shabbat” - a nosh and social time at 5:30 pm, and then move into the sanctuary at 6:15 pm. There will also be Anniversary Blessings for couples celebrating their anniversaries in September.
Shabbat Chol HaMoed Sukkot service, conducted by Rabbi Dreyfus, will begin at 10:00 am, Carole Fefferman will be the Cantorial Soloist. The torah readings will be the special one for this shabbat during Sukkot, Exodus 33:12 - 34:35 and Numbers 29:20-22. Read them and figure out why. The Haftarah will be from the prophet Ezekiel, Ezekiel 38:18 - 39:16.
