The Parsha is Re’eh, Deuteronomy 11:26 - 16:17. This is mostly Moses’s third , rather disjointed discourse to the Israelites assembled, and waiting on the other side of the Jordan. It begins, perhaps, with the end of the second discourse, with a presentation of the Blessings to accrue from following G-d’s commandment and the Curses to follow should they not adhere to G-d’s commandments. Old, local places of worship are to be destroyed in favor of a centralized place of worthip, but that doesn’t mean that meat can’t be eaten outside of ritual sacrifice, as long as you eat only Kosher animals, and a list of those are given. The Israelites are commanded to pursue Justice, to celebrate the usual holy days and travel to the central point of worship at appropriate intervals, and certainly to rail against false gods. And more.

The Haftarah, on the way from Tisha B’Av to Rosh Hashana is Isaiah 54:11–55:5, the third Haftarah of Consolation.
