The Prasha is Eikev , Deuteronomy 7:12–11:25.. Moses continues on in his speech to the Israelites telling of the good things that will happen if they obey G-d’s commandments and the bad things that will happen if they don’t. He recalls coming down from the mountain with the tablets inscribed by G-d and knowing that his people had immediately begun creating the molten calf and tossed the tablets down and broke them. And G-d told him to bring more tablets and an ark, and G-d will write the commandments on the new tablets. And Moses tells of the beautiful land that G-d has given them (which he will never see), and sets forth the boundaries of the land that G-d has given the Israelites.

As we continue our journey from Tisha B’Av and to Slichot and Rosh Hashana, the Haftarah is Isaiah 49:14–51:3, the Second Haftarah of Consolation.
