To Sharon & Henry Lorsch on their daughter Nicole Kamins’ Cooperative Conservation award by the Secretary of the Interior, Dirk Kempthorne in Washington, D.C. on May 9.  Nicole leads a team of federal, state, industry and governmental organizations in the protection and restoration of Hegewisch Marsh.  She is an employee of the City of Chicago’s Environmental Department, and successfully wrote a $750,000 grant proposal.
