Those of you who have had the foresight to make reservation for this evening’s extravaganza at Ravisloe — 5:00 pm; don’t be late — expect a fine dinner, the joy of honoring Rabbis Wolkow and Dreyfuss and Principal Osnat Meisel, and renewing acquaintence with old friends, former members of BYBS, TBY or CBS, who haven’t been around for awhile.
We are certain to enjoy the presentation of comedian and political satirist Aaron Freeman In addition, we are told, we will be graced by the presence of Sharon Rosenzweig, Aaron’s wife and collaborator in the weekly Comic Torah commentary. We have been linking to the Comic Torah on our web site for the last couple of months, and have found it a worthy, if somewhat unusual contribution. It is fair to say that the pair present a point of view that challenges many preconceptions that many of us may have as we study the text of the Parsha that we read each week. (Read more about Sharon and her art at sharonrosenzweig.com and sharonrosenzweig.blogspot.com.)

So welcome Sharon and Aaron. We’re glad you decided to leave your usual Highland Park haunts for the far, far netherworlds of South Suburban Homewood, and look forward to the evening.
