This week’s Parsha is the double portion Vayakhel-Pekude, Exodus 35:1 - 40:38.
Moses tells the Children of Israel about keeping the Sabbath and the penalty — death — for violating it. Then the Children of Israel bring their jewelry, their fine cloth and so forth for the building of the Ark and the Tabernacle, and they get built in good order. Then G-d tells Moses how to use these news things, and they set these items to use. And the Cloud of G-d led the Children of Israel by Day, and a fire by Night, as the Book of Exodus ends.
