The Parasha is Va-y’chi , Genesis 47:28?50:26. Jacob makes Joseph promise to bury him in the land of his fathers, then rests, apparently satisfied. A bit later Joseph brings his sons, Ephriam and Manasseh, to Jacob for blessings, which Jacob agrees to do. Although Jacob insists on blessing the younger with his right hand, giving him the better blessing, as Jacob insists that he will be the greater. Jacob then separately blesses each of his sons, with an appropriate epitaph for each.
And dies. Joseph mourns, gets Pharoah’s permission to take Jacob back home. The Brothers are still afraid that Joseph is going to take his revenge on him, but Joseph tells them not to worry. G-d caused all that happen. Joseph dies at 110 years of age, but before he dies, asks his family to take his bones back home. He dies, is embalmed and placed in a coffin.
Thus ends the Book of Genesis, or, as it is known in Hebrew, Breishiet. This first book got the Israelites into Egypt.
Next: Exodus.
