At last! “The Holidays” are complete, and we’re back to the enjoyment of a regular Shabbat Service. Without Rosh Hashana. Without Sukkot. Just plain Shabbat.

This evening’s Erev Shabbat Service, beginning at 8:00 PM, will be conducted by Rabbi Dreyfus. Music accompanying the service will be provided by the Adult Choir. Rabbi Dreyfus will bless couples with Wedding Anniversaries in the month of October.

Tomorrow morning’s Shabbat services, conducted by Rabbi Dreyfus, will begin at 10:00 AM. Barry Bayer will be the Cantorial Soloist. Bible will be discussed and Bagels seved immediately after services.

The Parasha is Breishit, Genesis 1:1 - 6:8, the Beginning of the Torah. In these chapters we have a couple of different stories of creation, Adam and Eve in and out of the Garden of Eden, Cain killing his brother Abel, and the identification of many generations until we get to Noah and his family, G-d’s recognition of evil among men on the earth. And G-d decision tgo destroy them. A lot for discussion.
