Slichot, this year, will be on Saturday, September 16 (Elul 24), will be preceded by a 9:00 PM showing of When Do We Eat?, last year’s hit (but never shown in this neighborhood) recreation of a psycheldelic Pesach Seder that is just a little bit different. Refreshments will be served.
The Slichot service, the traditional artart of the high holiday season, will begin after the film, about 10:30 (30 minutes earlier than on previous years) and will begin with the changing of the dress of the torahs from the usual, to white, high holiday mode. It will end, as always, with a Tikiyah G’dolah.
