Our congregation will participate in an erev TISHA B‘AV service, on Wednesday, August 2, at 8:15 p.m, at Congregation Am Echod, Park Forest. This sad day commemorates the destruction of the first and second Temples in Jerusalem. The essential element of the service is the chanting of the biblical book of Lamentations with its distinctive, plaintive melody.
