This evening’s Erev Shabbat service will be conducted by Fawn and David Gottlieb. Larry Burrows will be the cantorial soloist. Services begin at 6:15 PM and wil be held in the Garfein Wing. Park in the back for easy access.
Tomorrow morning’s Shabbat service for Shabbat Chazon, the last Shabbat prior to Tisha B’Av, will be conducted by Barry Bayer. Jerry Levine and Carole Fefferman will be the cantorial duoists. Services will begin at 10:00 AM, and will be held in the Garfein Wing.
The Parasha, read by Gideon Falk, will be D’varim, Deuteronomy 1:1 - 3:22. Moses gathers his people together and begins to review the journeys of the 40 years since the exodus from Egypt.
The Haftarah is from Isaiah 1:1–27, specially chosen for this Shabbat before Tisha B’Av, August 2nd and 3rd.
