Counting of the Omer

Right now, Sunday before sunset, is the 3rd day of the Omer, a number that increment each day, at sunset, until Penatcost. (We should have “counted” after Sunset Saturday night, but if you didn’t its ok to do it now.) For a little help, check out our congregational home page, where the current number of days after the first seder (beginning with No. 1 for the evening of the Second seder) is listed, and the appropriate prayer is displayed. If you need it, there is a link to the Omer/ Homer (yes….THAT Homer) site which even has an Omer calendar. Do it now, because by the time Shavuot rolls around, we’ll get tired of the whole thing, and stop.
