This evening’s Erev Shabbat Service will begin at 8:00 PM and will be conducted by Rabbi Dreyfus. The Adult Choir will sing and Rabbi Dreyfus will bless those congregants with wedding anniversaries in March.
Tomorrow morning’s Shabbat Service will begin at 10:00 AM and will be conducted by Rabbi Dreyfus. Stephen Snedded will be called to the Torah as Bar Mitzvah
The Parasha is T’tzaveh, Exodus 27:20–30:10 Deuteronomy,25:17 - 19 The Torah continues with G-d’s plans and specs for a place of worship, including the a light to be run from evening until morning with hand crushed olive oil, priestly blessings, ephods, and so forth, and continues with instructions for consecration of new Priests, and finally altar-burning of incense.
As this is the Shabbat immediately before Purim and the evil enemy Haman, also known as Shabbat Zakor, we also read three verses from Deuteronomy, wherein we are told to always remember Amalek, to blot out his name, and to never forget him.
