The parasha is Yitro, Exodus, 18:1 - 20:23

Yitro (Jethro) Moses’s Father-in-Law and management consultant, visits the Jewish camp, notices that Moses seems overburdened, and suggests that Moses has taken too much on himself, and has to delegate everything but major decisions to appropriately chosen judges.

Next, G-d asks Moses to prepare the Jewish people (including having them stay away from women for three days) and after a considerable amount of sturm and drang presents Moses and the Jews with the aseret hadebrot, otherwise known as The Ten Commandments.

The Hafarah is from Isaiah, Chapter 6, including the prophet’s famous vision of G-d and the six-winged Seraphim who together cried out kadosh kadosh kadosh Adonay Tseva’ot melo chol-ha’arets kevodo. Isaiah also presents his answer to G-d’s question: Whom will I send, and who will go for us?
