The Jewish Federation can help south suburban seniors grab a cab for less. The Shalom Taxi program offers one-way trip vouchers to Jewish Southlanders age 60 and older. The cost is just $2.50 each way. They can be used for medical trips, grocery shopping, banking or visiting friends in hospitals or nursing homes. Eligible seniors may purchase up to 10 vouchers each month. Transportation is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. To register, call Alene Rutzky, Jewish Community Services Coordinator, at 708-798-1884.

Hurricane Relief - More Help is Needed

Temple Beth Shalom in San Juan Puerto Rico experienced considerable flooding in their building during Hurricane Maria. Many congregants are also having difficulties and can use our help. we're sure it would be very much appreciated.
The URJ's Camp Newman was destroyed by the fires in Sonoma County, California. There also are about 5 congregations in the area. As soon as we learn of efforts to help, we will let you know.

Thank you for all your help to-date. These disasters have affected many of our fellow congregations and their members.

The Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago is collecting funds for victims of hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria.
